Vista and VPN

Has anyone here any experience of setting up a VPN using a Vista client?

I am trying to connect to a Server 2003 system through a Cisco 501 Pix and it doesn't want to play. XP systems connect fine, so I am guessing that it is an issue with Vista, but the help messages are very unhelpful.

Have a look at turning off the firewall, have seen various problems with IPSEC and the vista firewall.

Sorry that didn't work.

Any other suggestions as this is driving me nuts.

Not had any problems setting up Vista VPN's once you turn off UAC. Not sure about the Pix 501 though.

Worth bearing in mind that Vista will use l2tp which can cause issues with some firewalls. Make sure your VPN connection is PPTP in advanced settings.

Can you get to the pix to do some Debug commands on it?

It may be helpful to know where it's failing, Phase 1 or Phase 2?
