| Free/Cheap Newgroup Servers. Any recommendations? Having moved from BT to Virgin Media, I have found that although the download speed is much quicker with VM, access to a decent newsgroup server is somewhat lacking when I try to download stuff. In fact, the server replies with the files not being available. Anyone use an open (ie not tied to an ISP) newsgroup server that they would recommend. Being a diver I am tight, so a free server would be better! Regards

| i use newshosting for $14.95 per month i get unlimited transfer's, 80 days retention and up to 8 connections. i'm on vm too and i generally download overnight, i regularly max out my 20mb connection

| i use giganews $29.99 for 20 connections unlimited transfer and 200 days retention and its ssl encrypted so no prying eyes seeing what ya downloading worth £15pm of anybodys money |
