For once, Sony seem to have got everything right. Image quality is awesome, plus you have the side effect of a games console and a Blu-Ray player which really shows off just how good HD can get with bitrates well above those seen on Sky HD.

| A little while ago we got a JVC 42inch LCD. Very nice it is too! We liked it, not just because of the stunning picture, but because of the surround. There is very little plastic around the picture so the TV overall doesn't look as big as it is and the surround was black. I don't think we could have coped with these TVs that have large silver speakers on each side and big chunks of plastic below the screen.....just too ugly. We liked it so much that this week, with his first months pay check, my son has bought the 32 inch version and a PS3. I must say I am impressed with Ghost Recon in 1080....and I am not a game player. After having a 32inch LG flat screen TV for 3 years everytime I turn the 42inch LCD on I go 'wow!' It's never been a purchase I regreted
