Spurious noise
I'm getting a problem on my laptop - every now and then I get music playing for about 10 secs or a soundtrack from a movie, again for about 10 sec. I've run my AVG virus scan and Adawre but nothings been found.

Anybody got any ideas how to get rid of it?

Silly question but are the websites you visit playing music?

I found that sometimes when I launched various applications I got what I thought was random music then I remembered leaving in an audio CD in the dvd/cd rom drive.

AG I would not complain if it was a fine bit of soul .. even funk would be fine, but its some awful rock shite.

I can still hear it and am now onto a different virus package to see if that will help
