Movie Maker publishing problem

Hi all,

I took some digi video with the new family toy at Easter and I've just gotten round to creating the movie.

The camera records in AVI format, it took a couple of goes to tell it that they were video files not audio and all is hunky dory except for the final stage.

When I publish the movie, it works fine for a minute then the screen fades to black and I see nothing. The movie is still playing except there is no sound and no vision.

Playback in Movie Maker is OK - sometimes goes black but intermittently. The problem is the publishing.

What has gone wrong?

Added: Oh, it's Vista basic if that's any help. I've done 2 movies, the second one is much shorter and plays fine...

not really a resolution but something that might get around this for you.

Try re-encodind the video into some other format by using a free tool like Super. This might help sort out your problem.
