It's for a (usually) older type of handheld device - or quite often handhelds which are aimed at the more industrial end of the market. *

So, no it won't.

* Actually it gets quite complicated. MS have at the last count 1.27 gajillion names for their various handheld operating systems: CE, CE.net, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, HPC, SmartPhone, to name just a few. Irritates the hell out of me as I spend a fair amount of time writing software for the things.

I think it stands for Compact Edition. It's an older version of Windows Mobile that ran on early PDAs. Highly unlikely that software for Win98/2K/XP will work on it.

Windoze mobile isn't any better on the iPaq I've got.

it also has a great habit of trying to remind you about stuff repeatedly even when you don't do anything, and flattening its battery in the process.

or it just decides to lock up and run the battery down at a silly rate before you get a chance to reset it.

think I'll go back to slate and chalk.

I've gone back to a standard Nokia phone. It's waaaaaay better than a PDA.

and Word Perfect 5.1......


and I still have the install disks for Dos 5, plus a stack of customised boot disks to set the enhanced and extended memory for those retro games....
