Combo Box (in asp)

Hi

I am hoping some wizz kid may come to my rescue. Basically I am self taught and am needing to insert a 'lookup' box onto an asp page. I know how to do them where the options are written into the asp page but this time, I want the values to come from a database table.

i.e. I know the following works;
...if strTime = "AM" then
response.write "<option selected value='AM'>AM</option>"
else
response.write "<option value='AM'>AM</option>"
end if...
But I do not want to have to do the above 52 times (the lookup is for Monday dates in a college academic year).
The record set is created, I just need the code to replace the above.

Hope this makes sense.

Jo

asp or asp .net and would need a bit more info as to what exactly you are trying to do.

asp.

I now have my box but need to populate it. So far I have;

strSQL = "SELECT Weeks.WeekDate FROM Weeks WHERE (((Weeks.AcadYear) Like '07/08')) "&_
"ORDER BY Weeks.WeekDate;"
rsWeeks.Open strSQL, CnConn

response.write "<TD><form name='selWeeks" & intctr & "' id='selWeeks" & intctr & "' size='1'>"
Response.Write "<select name=""dropdownlist"">" & vbCrLf
response.write "</td>"
response.write "</tr>"

I know I need to build on the 2nd response.write so am also scouring 'google' for ideas.
