I asked a question re. mixed gases on another forum, and it was Dave W who answered them in a 'non-confusing' manner, which I found easy to follow - bit like his response here, and Mr. Heads Up wasn't too difficult either. Unlike other forums, questions are answered without ridicule and flaming. A very pleasant and refreshing change, as I've said before. :yelclap:

That doesn't matter Dave - it was still easy to follow, which (to me) is the important bit!

You guys still up for doing the TDI course with Andy Hayhurst?

Should we get a complete roll-call finalised? Come on all you news guys and gals, this is going to be a group jaunt of the 1st-water. Learn and laugh. Top day out and a good opportunity to meet all the YD regulars and some new faces, dive and get TDI Nitrox certified into the bargain.

Show me the hole in this picture!! Come on then, let's be having your names..

Bren - I was asked to keep this OFF FORUM to avoid anyone accusing myslef or Andy of exploiting YD for personal gain. Jay, are you okay with this as, and I quote...

Hey Drift,

Appreciate your loyalty mate, but spoke to Andy today about this and it's OK. We're going for a large deployment. As many as can make it will be catered for (even if it means more than one session) - it just needs application and the correct level of expectation setting for those involved and the kit to be squared away.

And given the fact that Andy is a PADI, IANTD, TDI/SDI and BSAC Recreational and Technical Instructor Director (taking in Open/Advanced water, Rescue, Deep, Wreck, Extended Range, Mixed Gas (Decompression, Nitrox, Heliox and Trimix), and all other skills/variants/specialities of the above, up to and includling Instructor level, we have a perfectly impartial view of what's best for the individual (given their current skill/confidence level) asking for any form of diving instruction or advice - so we're not compromising anyone (indeed, we're helping them - the true nature of YD), no matter who might try and paint it otherwise. Email me off forum or call me for a heads-up.

Cheers,

No problem Bren - I'll let you off the foot-in-mouth hook then.

So how we doing this? Still want me as main POC or you gonna sort it all for me now?

Dates 18/19 Nov (Sat/Sun) and there is so far myself, gavster (Mrs. too?), and ol' boy Wilo.....

Hey Rock Braker....

Congrats on getting wed - and in such a nice place. Your wife's voice-mail sounds devine!

OK then, given that you, Davey and I have all met Andy, we can all hook up for the the gig; any new comers or those wanting to join the gig can contact you (on here or direct, as long as Andy knows about it so he can plan) as being in the chair for organisation on this and that way we all have one name to contact. I'm diving on the day just to meet you guys (once and for all) and have my Advance Nitrox ticket, so best you keep the attenddees all in one group and Korall'd.

Looking forward to finally meeting you mate...and the wife!

Cheers,

Bren or Driftwood - can you remind me of the cost for advanced nitrox please. If I can afford it, count me in too.

Regards
