<font color='#32CD32'>Hi,

I've started looking into home mixing, specifically decanting from J cylinders then having my sets topped at the LDS.

Questions:

where do I source the whip from as the Js have a different connector to DIN?

Are ther any issues with using the same whip for both O2 and He?

Anyone else do it this way? What are the Pros and Cons?

Cheers
Juz

Sub Aqua Products - google for them. If they don't have what you need, they'll invent it for you

I have a Bullnose fitting on my O2 cylinders, you can get adapters to convert to DIN. My whip has Din both ends

<font color='#000080'>Garage mixing? Never really been into all that Hip-Hop stuff. Much prefer a bit of indie rock.

Oh, you mean filling cylinders? No idea, mate . . . &nbsp; &nbsp;

Looking at doing the same thing myself, but intend to do a gas mixing course first.
Anyone want to join my buddy and me on a trip to Plymouth to do a mixing course with Deep Blue? (PM or e-mail-me)
Rgds

This is something I want to learn for trimix. &nbsp; My LDS charges about $75 to fill a set of doubles with trimix!

<font color='#32CD32'>Twin 12s with a 23/24 mix seems to be around £25-£28 around me.

No.

Having two whips (one for the O2 and one for the He) makes things easier. &nbsp; There is less effort involved.

Getting your LDS to do the air tops is OK as long as you can trust your LDS to top the tanks to what you want.

Actually... AP do a nice whip, which has interchangeable ends for He and O2.

Its not made of super whizzy hose, so is obviously totally unsuitable for the 4 years of blending I've been doing with it and I must be damn lucky to be alive.

Like most things in life, its a cost/benefit choice.
