![]() The hamster and elderberry thing to you. Oh - no offence intended to any other common outdoor ruffian types - especially the big ones. [Edit]Oh, and as for the aroma slur, I can prove that is false as I am still wearing the same pants that I wore that day. The 3 years is not up until April when I wmove to another pair. Hamsters and double elderberries.

| Imported post What is it about TDI training dives? I was doing my adv nitrox/deco at the NDC when I had probably my worst problem. I was about to do a gas switch when it happened; the instructor was about 3m from me and watching me like a hawk. I confidently took my back gas reg out of my mouth, dropped it to one side, retrieved my stage reg, put it in my mouth, exhaled and went to take my first breath as I turned the stage's valve on..... It was at that exact moment that I realised that I hadn't pressurised the stage reg at the surface before getting in the water. Oh bum. The first thing I did was panic but luckily I remembered that I still had my back gas and all I had to do is open the stage valve to get my deco gas back. Hmm... nitrox I learnt two important lessons that day; 1, don't rush to get in the water - check your kit properly and 2, its panic that kills you (either that or breathing in water after you panic

| Imported post I agree with the sentiment expressed earlier about rushing. The times when i have jumped in the water without my suit hose attached or without checking something have always been when i was rushing or feeling rushed. I climb too (beginner standard!) and the adrenaline rush from that is totally differnt for me than that for diving, depends who is belaying me! Jules
