<font color='#0000FF'>the ir will only work if you have entered a pin number into the vr3 to open the ir link,if this is done and the problem is pc based there is a file you have to enter in one of the files in &nbsp;prolog and enter the units software,latest is v2.1 yours can be found at the bottom of the first screen after unit switch on. &nbsp;
or do you have something else in mind?

<font color='#810541'>As you start to press the button in, turn it slightly, this worked for me.

WD40 was a waste of time, I have now used a heavier oil that I oil my bike chain with and it has worked a treat. It can't get to internal workings I am assured so any quality lubricant should do the trick.

I soak then rinse the VR3 in warm water to remove the salt crystals then I use the same silicone lube as i do on my dry suit zip in the buttons. Touch wood they have been fine so far.

On the set up part of this thread I would like to say that I agree with Mark etc I got my VR3 from Barrie and within only 45mins or so had programmed all my common gasses and set up a couple of profiles for regularly used mixes, I'm not a computer whiz by a long way, IMHO anyone buying one who plans on using it for multi gas diving should have the necessary dive knowledge to program it.

Barrie &amp; Mark et al
generous squirts of silicone spray appear to have cured the problem.

I discover I need Big Graphics despite the backlight. This I think will be a cheaper option than having an arm extension/transplant!
Delta quote £25 on their website, whats your price?

<font color='#0000FF'>ALAN,
BIGGER GRAPHICS WILL ONLY WORK ON VR3'S WITH 2.1 SW OR LATER IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER MODEL IT WILL HAVE TO BE UPGRADED ABOUT £38 IS UPGRADE SOFTWARE PRICE.
MODELS WITH 2.1 SOFTWARE CAN GET THE BIGGER GRAPHICS FOR £25 BUT I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GET THE BIGGER GRAPHICS AND THE BLENDER MODE FOR £40.
THE BLENDER IS A GOOD OPTION TO HAVE SWITCHED ON AND WORKS WITH A HAVE,WANT,ADD METHOD THAT CAN ALSO BE SET BY MAXD,END,PPO2 PREFERENCES.
CHEERS
