| Imported post Hi Dom I've not had a lot of problems with new divers rapid assending, but then as we use a shotline for assents most of the time, this may well be a factor, in fact i am convinced it is a big factor in our diving safety. An ideal chance to use my hand above their hand to control their assent on the line, plus an occasional use of their shoulder dump if required (not very often). Although i try to assend face to face, as their is often a bit of a current running by then i am often above them and i'm quite wide if they want to get around me. Dive Safe Paul

| Imported post No I was disappointed too. And if they flavoured the oxygen you could tell the strength by tasting it - no need for expensive analysers or fancy electronics in those rebreathers. I'm actually working on my own analyser - it involves a Calibrated Hamster and an air-tight box. Laters, Janos

2 years ago, someone that i knew that worked on the SEACAT, bought into a company that ............ Sells flavoured oxygen ( Strawberry, Lime , think the other was Raspberry ) to youngesters at night clubs. someting like 5 gob fulls for a fiver . The company was based in Wales and covered all the southern region. What the salesman has is 3 x 1&1/2 lt bottles on his back with 3 DV like things that you sucked on. It was a phase that kids loved as they were told half way though the night , that it sobers them up. The company make a fortune and still does as far as i'm away. << I was never clubbing or drunk >> but when this stuff came into our local pub in the marina , the LIME one was excellent , and the dive company i worked for , was trying to buy it in bulk , for us to have .but failed because of the patent rights and the cost ANdy

| Imported post Flavoured gas sounds like a fun idea, but won't it affect your ability to check for a bad fill?
