I'll chip in with.......Mares Voltrex and a Mares Voltrex for my pony. Had them over 10 years and only had to replace the 1st stage valve seat on both. The service kits cost $14 and they have been to 50m in Dotty at 4 degC without problems. Not been a bad investment.....seen over 1000 dives.

Probably have to change them soon though....nitrox is calling.

I use Jetstreams for both primary regs, sold on after two or three years use rather than serviced and DS1 1st stages with R380 second stages for all deco regs.
I would change the lot probably (I like my jetstreams) for Tx40's with DS1's if they would bring out a left handed version!, simply because they are easier to get parts for and service.

<font color='#000080'>Scubapro Mk25 AF with S550 2nd stage, &amp; R380 octo.  Never had a free flow, and the 550 is less &quot;fiddly&quot; than the S600. Mk20/R380 on my pony. &nbsp;Very happy, but looks like I have been talked in to looking at Poseidon for a twin set.  (Dear Mr Bank Manager......   )

regards all

Steve

<font color='#000080'>Here's a thought- if both regs are the same on your twinset, if one freeflows due to freezing the other is likely to do the same. So use different regs.

Jetstream left pillar
TX40 right pillar
T20 pool reg
Namron Snark for scary 'this is what it used to be like'

BTW don't bother buying TX50's- they are identical to the TX40 and are more prone to people not setting them up properly when they play with the crack resistance knob. A properly set up reg should not need adjusting when in use.

Light the blue touch paper and run, Woz.

<font color='#8D38C9'>true

but when you get real low on gas - I mean &lt; 10 bar you can get the last of your gas by opening the knob

ATX50s all round. I can get a nice tidy hose routing on the twins, and the additional hose routing ability that I have on the side mounts meains I can always get a nice easy breathe into my mouth from pretty much any angle. On the rare occasions when I am on a single, the turret on the 50's 1st stage, means 1 reg for ALL uses - single, twin, deco, drop, whatever.

I also like Apeks decision to use one service kit for all regs of the ATX series (with more or less spare parts). This is prpoer engineering, and means only one set of spares required.
