Stage reg - to loop or not to loop

OK, I'll have to post this then come back to it when I next get on t'internet, but here goes.

Stage reg hose running around the back of my neck to my mouth is more comfortable, but has issues involved. These are:

1. Not as easy to pass to a buddy in need, trained to take the one out of my mouth. This is my primary concern. Straight from tank to my mouth is guaranteed not to catch on my head/mask as it deploys and I switch to backup.

2. With a stage on my right, the reg has to be either left handed, or non-handed. I have a Cyklon I can use for this, but I'd rather use the Cyklon for my lean mix, and the Apeks for the rich mix, or the Cykloin for backgas. I can swap my regs about and have 2 Apeks style regs for stages, but does this mean looping one and not looping the other? Regs available are 2 Cyklons, an Apeks and an Aqualung, so do what you will with those. I think having the 2 cyklons for backgas makes sense to me, and the 2 others for the stages. Any reason to do or not to do it that way let me know. Buying more regs is not an option.

I find that having it running around the back of my neck gives me more flexibility to move my head, but I don't feel I need this necessarily on deco? Any situations where a bit of inconvenience from that POV is going to be a problem?

Any advice appreciated. One thing you won't talk me out of is rich on the right lean on the left, so don't take that line. With that framework what's the best option?

Digs.

Use an omni swivel on the reg and then you can have it feeding form either side. I use then on both deco regs now as it just sits more comfortably in the mouth. My reg on the right hand side isnt long enough to arround my neck even if I wanted it to

I have replaced my standard length hose with a 1.5 M hose.. As I can't stand the length of the smaller ones as it doesn't give me a enough length to loop around my neck comfortably. However with the longer one I is a happy Bunny and normal service has resumed. If my buddy wants my reg its not a problem as there is enough space to duck Hog stylie and its all his.

However this does give you more hose to stow on your stage which is a pain.
