Gekko - problem??? Resets 02 value during a dive

Set my Gekko to 32% in the carpark a fair time in front of the actual dive, during ascent it reverted back to 21% and penalised me on stops etc.
Didnt matter too much as we had plenty of back gas.

Reading the manual today it states that the Gekko reverts back to 21% after 2 hrs from being set, it looks like this is what it did, however the manual also states if a dive has started during this 2hrs it will 'hold' the value until the dive has ended, it reverted during the 5m safety stop I think as that was when we compared ascent time remaining, tbh I hadnt looked at the % setting during the ascent until then as I was the one bagged off and just checking our depth as I reeled up.
Anyone else had this??
On any Suunto.
Tom's didnt revert as he had set his just before we hit the water and he had seen mine set to 32% when he set his, so I know it was definitely set at 32% before and during the dive.
Matt

My wife had similar on her mosquito.
Set it to 36% before dive, we left the bottom before we ran into deco, so there's me thinking "great, just 3 minutes on the safety, no hanging around getting cold" and she signals 15 minutes stop.

Seems the Suuntos revert to 21% if the battery is low, don't ask me why, they just do!

It's the same as the Stinger as I had this and spoke to Suunto.

It's 2 hours time window in which to do the dive. You can press buttons as much as you want - however if you change the mix value the 2 hours restarts.

Mark.

I had set it in the carpark before you got to Portland.

Dunno, just before we bagged off it was showing something like 8mins ascent time last time I looked, we had agreed 10 so I wasnt overly concerned. Next time I looked was when we hit 6m, it showed 7 mins then, yours was showing 3 mins?

I agree it could be buggered, but its the bit in the manual that says it resets after 2 hrs. I wonder if its supposed to not reset but someone has programmed it wrong and it does reset, EVEN mid-dive?

Might get in touch with Suunto UK before I send it back, see if they have heard this one yet.

Cheers, it certainly could have been 2 hrs after setting it when it reverted.

In that case it reset itself to 21% before we started the ascent - I was still showing several minutes no-deco time remaining when you bagged off (and my vyper was set to 31%). You must have done the whole thing as an air dive (the stops your gekko was showing were similar to my backup air computer).

Based on that information, I guess it's likely that it reset to air in between checking the setting on the boat and actually jumping in the water.

That's a possible, and I prefer that to a mid-dive reset.
I dont recall checking the % during the dive (oops) I assumed it was correct as we had confirmed on boat it was correct, must have just hit the water a few minutes late of 2 hrs, bloody typical. I set it in the carpark at about 11:15, we hit the water (from pooter logbook) at 13:22 I wondered why when we bagged off you hadnt indicated we were going into deco, I would have shown you but for the viz on the seabed
