| Well I would try it with a one piece, then a drop clip, then a complete break. You can do a few dives with each and see how you get on.

| I have a "drop-clip" in mine. As Woz described, a standard one-piece harness, but with a buddy press-clip on one side which adds an extra 50cm or so when unclipped. I have my clip right around almost touching the backplate though - keeps it well out of the way which I like. Can't see any disadvantages of having it there either... To be honest you might as well set it up that way - I generally don't actually undo the clip to get out of it, but a few conditions lead to me using it (just to save time / messing really). Particularly, as mentioned, dekitting in the water. I can do it quickly if its not too rough, but in some conditions you just want to get out quick - and so just undo the clip. David |

| Fitted the exact same clip to my harness about 12 months ago. I wouldnt go back and the missus is pestering me to do her harness the same. I was a confirmed one piece advocate previously but the proof is in the pudding. The one piece argument just dosent hold water in the face of testing and experience of both systems. | Not getting into the DIR debate on a one peice harness, we all know that clips get broken on Ribs. When it is a requirement to use a break in a harness which is all the time for me, an virtually unbreakable clip is preferred. Have a look at www.grpservices.com and go to the detachable lungs page. Guaranteed to please, we've driven a CAT bulldozer over one without breaking it.
