Hi Garf,

Great article - have just had a shutdown crisis where I couldn't even reach the valves (very poor and pathetic) and have taken your advice and it's helped a huge amount - lots of little gear changes over time have had a negative impact and it's all looking better now. Thanks for this!

G

Hi Howard - am doing really well thanks - must get more diving in though! How are you??

The shutdowns are still too difficult to be smooth enough (i.e. I am crap at them and couldn't even reach the valve on Friday) so I do need to get much better at them - never mind the fact that my appalling trim goes to pot when I tried it. I spent lots of cash :-( and six months doing physio to help out - shoulder still grinds loads but it's much more flexible than it used to be! Yoga has been good too. No jokes please!

Hope to see you soon! be good! And what is that sheck exley thing anyway??

G :-)

Indeed! Must have mis-read it - very funny though. Not like you to spend your time in big, cold dark holes with only a line to find your way out . . . . .

Two guesses what I've been doing today...

... fitting, refitting, adjusting and readjusting my harness then putting it all back on the twinset.

It worked a treat, I can now reach the valves and manifold with ease. I just need to do the stretching exercises to improve things and then get back in the water to finish off Tec Deep and Tec Trimix

Thanks Garf for an informative thread
