I got mine stripped down last night to its component bits and cleaned it in white vinegar in my baby sonic bath.

I need to check the O rings under a good light with my magnifier to see if they need replacing.

There was a bit of wear and tear where the surface metal coating is gone to expose the brass(?) below.

My main question is about how much lube to put on before reassembly? Coat everything or "camera O ring" quantities?

You will need some circlip pliers (ends of the prongs bent over) and a very small spanner and something to grip the puch button whilst undoing the nut on the other end!

Also, you will need a box spanner to get at the nut holding the purge button nut!

NOTE - Of course this is assuming you have the same inflator assembly as me.

i service apex and sherwood and dacor regs the o rings were from my box of o rings are you struggling to get some?

Yes, I just called Divers Warehouse (OMS agents for the UK) but they wouldn't sell me the O rings -

They would sell me a pack of 10 assorted O rings but wouldn't/couldn't advise if the O rings I needed were in the pack!!!

It may be that the old O rings I have are OK - it was just that whilst I had it apart .......

Anyway, it won't take long to put it back together and see if the leak is still there. TBH the leak wasn't that bad to start with ....... given the cost and the amount of time taken trying to acquire the tools needed. I wouldn't mind but then when you run into the "we can't sell you that because you are not qualified ..........."
