I used them for servicing and O2 cleaning our twins a year or so back. There was a guy in there when I picked them up who was less than helpful over soe questions and queries I had on the servicing (like why I had paid for O2 service and got tanks stickered up as good for up to 70% O2 or similar), and tried to overcharge me twice. Once on the tanks, and once on some other little bits I bought at the same time.

In their defence it was probably just this guy, and seeing as on any of the 4 or 5 occasions I had been in previously I hadn't seen the same shop assistant twice he may have been casual labour for all I know. It is just that when (not wanting trimix fills) there are several other shops within striking distance, an off day is enough to put me off for a good while.

Scubanet, DiverCity (the shop that never sells what you want), DeepDive, Oxford Dive, there used be be Aquarius in Didcot too, but now that has shut apparently.

Lou,
Do you still use ScubaNet? (I know that you were less than impressed a few years back!)

I still use them for my Nitrox files (mainly because they are a 5min drive from work!)

Use Scubanet all the time now. They have improved greatly. Although they do insist on trying to sell me yellow and orange dual colour SMB's - never have plain red Buddy ones in

The guy that does the servicing is good there. The fills can be a bit variable in % but always good in pressure, and they do try and correct the fills if you ask.

Lou,
I agree that the new guys (well, for the last year or so) are much better then the old lot there.
The first time I took my missus over there, she was a little put out by the attitude of the tall bloke (sorry, I've forgotten all their names!) but he seems to have been a bit better the last few times.

Andrew

PS> I agree that their servicing seems pretty good, if a little on the pricey side!

However where in Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire do I get trimix fills from? I know of Mikes in St Albans.
Hi Ian,
Dive Force Marine on the north circular at junction A10 also do trimix

What course are you thinking of doing? When. I am looking for one to get onto.

Fiona

I'm waiting to hear about the new BSAC course.
But I also need permission from SWMBO as I said that I would never do trimix. But then I said I would never do instructor, or 50m in the UK.
