In my opinion, on paper, you look like a potential candidate that 'could' skip the ERD requirement.
I would second this. My understanding of the new "Mixed Gas" course is that for the advanced one (80m - any gas) you need some accelerated deco knowledge/experience. That would be covered by the TDI Deco/Adv EAN course (or the IANTD Adv EAN or similar). If you have arrived via BSAC training then you would need ERD to have had the same level of training.

As Gareth says its not final yet, but that seems to be the drift of things as it stands.

You are, of course, OK to do a normoxic (60m) with one of the tech agencies.

The problem for the BSAC courses will be getting an instructor base and also coping with the first flush of hopefulls wanting to do the course. Demand will exceed supply big-time.

If you don't need the depth the "Sport" course (55m IIRC - haven't seen much on this one - I wanna do the advanced in a year or two ) may well be sufficient. I doubt that will need ERD.

Chris

So much better than BSAC direct and much less hassle than your local branch..
