Stage removal on a dive.

This is the first time I have done a poll so not sure if this will work

I was wondering what the persentage of people doing deep diving remove there stages and leave them on the bottom of the shot or somewere else.

I have never done this and would not feel happy doing it but I know others have and do regularly.

I don't know but have read "the last dive", every1 in the book seems to lose the stages they take off, but then its a bad book full of muppets

To make a poll, when you start a thread there is an option to tick. That takes you onto a second page when you submit the thread that allows you to choose the poll options.

In answer to your question: No f'in way. And that's my bailout tanks - not deco gases. What happens if you have a problem and have to ascend directly?

But each to their own I guess.

of course you take your stages off, that's what they are for.

I'd never take a deco bottle off though, that'd be just silly

My stages carry my travel gas and deco gas, If i need the gas in the 1st place then I'll carry it, if i dont fit in a hole with the stages/deco bottle on than I wont go in in the first place.

Give us a shout when your going next though.

With my navigation skills I think not. I can lose the shot when I tie off to it and lose a buddy from the other end of a buddy line. What chance of me finding a staged stage where I left it??
