Cheers guys, thanks for the advice.

The manifold will now live out the rest of it's days on my mates 300 bar 7's, which he was diving as indies, but in a deal which I can't understand, I have ended up with a new revamped set of manifolded 12's.

Everyones's happy.

cheers
steve

ps, I did think of machining the manifold down to the same depth as a 232 set so that the seating would be brought forward. ooohh, the shame of it!!

A 232 whip will not seat properly in it, so wherever you go needs to either have adaptors or 300 bar whip ends.

I've never had a problem filling my 300 bar twin set with a 232 din filler, this has Apeks valves on it.

The other week at Puffin in Oban, I had to lend someone a 300 bar adaptor, as they couldn't fill their MDE valved 300bar twins with Puffins 232 bar fill whip.

So I guess it is trial and error.......

Twinset, I beleive I bought the manifold off you, through Ebay. It's an unbranded, Brok type. The valves are 300 bar threads.
I advertised them on here first......could have saved me the ebay fees...

oh well next time...glad you're sorted.

Thumbs up

Sorry 'bout the ebay fees, will buy you a pint or two, when we cross paths. lol

It's been a sorry saga from start to finish, seeing Milldogs city link mod's, reminds me of how it started.

I bought a twin set off ebay ( again ) & found that the manifold was bent. The guy offered to take the set back, but as it was a good buy, despite the manifold I kept it.

After mucho p155 taking by the guys in our club, I decided to replace it, & thinking that my regs are 300 bar din fittings, that there would be no probs with popping twinsets 300 bar manifold of them. How wrong was I !!

When I was talking this through with my mate, he mentioned that it would be ok to fit, but getting fills could cause an issue. Luckily he had another manifolded set of 12's which he has very kindly swapped me.

In return I have given ( giving ) him the manifold which he can fit to his 300 bar 7's. It all works out, as I get a set with a good manifold on, & my mate gets a manifold.

Another virtue of club diving.

Have a good weekend
