I think the difference should be minimal if the rest of your kit is the same.

Changing between my 12's and 15's requires no difference in weight at all.

Best bet though... Jump in for a buoyancy check with mostly empty tanks.

What Si said....I bet you will hardly notice difference in the water.

Not being no expert but with them both being neg buoyant, it can only be a density thing. Tell me this is bollocks if im way off the mark!

Bigger tanks are heavier...but then they hold more weight in steel and with more compressed gas...but to counter this , bigger tanks also displace more water making them more bouyant....sort of.

When you dive twins and are compitent, swapping to bigger tanks may need an extra kilo....but all said there isn't that much in it.....thats what I have found anyway.

Smile I've changed

I went from 10's to 12's and lost only 1.5kg overall with the extra tank weight etc. Trimming up was different though and a pain getting it right again. I could really have just carried the same weight rather than all the messing as it hardly made any difference

I swapped from twin 7's to twin 12's and kept weight same on belt (20lb) and could still hold stops no problem.

I have a twinset of 10's and a twinset of 12's, I dont alter my weight belt when I alter my set, having said that I think I'm a couple of kilo overweight with the 10's.
