So Woz, are you going to diversify into stage straps then?

Janos
Well I wasn't intending on as all the bits are so easily available individually. It's the hose clamp that's the trickiest bit as normally they come in packs of 5 and there are a myriad of different cylinder diameters knocking about.

If you are looking then try and fine the Hytork clamps rather than plain old Jubillee. They are stronger. For the ultimate clamp, have a look for Mykalor hose clamps. The use a proper bolt and nut rather than a poxy worm drive. We use them for holding f'in great big hoses on and the fitters love them as you can really, to use an engineering phrase, wank them up good and hard.

In defense of the NAS strap

I have one on my pony and its lovely. I tried it on my ally seven and it was good but the stage sat too upright when I was diving, changed it to a DIY job using the DIR Diver link, some 25mm webbing and a pair of large boltsnaps from Portland Oceaneering. The seven now sits nicely on my left. (please see deco dancing in Dosthill for a picture - if you want)

I'll still have the narked strap for the pony though as I like it. But then maybe I'm just plain wierd.

It actually hangs down at waist level and is out of the way....but see your point about positive float with trimix....long hose donation is actually easy

The main point against was 'emergency dekitting' which made sense and is possibly why you don't see it that often.
Nice to know we are all subject of various individulaity, habits and mannerisms in this PC world.

Smile Stage Rigged

Hi There From Most Of The Reply's I Get The Feel That Ever One Is Stage Mounting In The Same Way One Way Or Another With A Few Tweaks.

I Guess This Is From A Training Point Of View And The Way That People Have Been Shown To Carry Stages And They Have Then Adjusted To Make It Comfortable And Suit There Way Of Diving.

What I Would Like To Know Is If Any One Has Carried Stages Outside The Norm That Has Been All Ready Posted On The Thread

Cheers Garry
