| Best way to rig a deco bottle Hi there I look forward to your views on the best way to rig or stage mount a deco bottle. Either when used with a rebreather or twinset and what makes it more streamlined and comfortable because you have rigged it in a certain way Cheers |

| Hi Garry, I have mine rigged like this DIR-diver.com - Stagebottle rigging and it works fine and a damn site cheaper than those rigging kits. HTH Safe diving, Steve P.S. don't worry YD'rs everywhere, my assimilation hasn't started as my stage is a steel with boot

| stage kit Hi steve do you find it comfortable and have free movement to get into pouch,s etc ? or carry out any task at hand and do you use the system with 2 stages ? |

no problem, but if I use 2 stages [hardly ever] I go lean left rich right, also I invert my cylinders and can still get to the valves with no problem, my suit pocket are on the front of my thighs and I have a bump bag on the right waistband. Safe diving, Steve

If you running bailout for a CCR your better off using stages left and right unless you have BOV plumbed in direct to a side slung. In a poo fan interface you need to just grab the reg on the left and stick it in your gob there is no time for pissing about identifying tanks with a C02 hit or a monster loop flood. If your presently bailing out to inboard it doesn't matter so much but in the future you will have to start bailing out to off board and then it will become a problem. If you use a BOV then you can plumb it into the deep bailout mix and run all tanks left as you should have time at the 21m (or what ever) to carry out proper tank identification prior to switching. When diving in a team OC then stages left is fine if thats what you like. I like the idea of a clear side to access other equipment but I found two or more stages left interferes with my access to the diluent valve on the CCR but Janos does it and he doesn't seem to mind. The rigging shown on the link above is neat and I am in the process of altering all my tanks to match. ATB Mark Chase

| Hi I rig them with the Halcyon rigging kits. They are nice and neat, and have all the bits you need, and come in the right lengths (or right for me anyways, don't want to be accused of saying that it is better than anything else I suspect they can be used for both left or right hand use, so long as you have a chest Dring and Hip Dring to clip them to. Gary, any of the stage rigs will do basically the same thing. The only point I would make is to ensure that the clips are pretty big e.g. 120mm snap bolts. Small ones are a pain to use in my opinion for stage rigging.
