Six inch hoses - any advice?

Dear all,

Bought two six inch hoses today (Beaver - £15 each!!!!!) for use with my side sling tank contents guage and a remote sender for a D9 - so both Suunto. Neither will fit - thread diameter is right, but the length of the double-ender o ring that goes inside the hose is too long and will not allow either the contents guage or the sender to fully screw into the hose.

Any suggestions: do I need a different hose manufacturer or am I missing something?

Pies

you can get different lengths of swivels (the double ender o ring things you mention). Go to your LDS and I'm sure you'll get shorter ones there for a few pence

2 inch hose

Just a quickie..... Not really related but Scubapro do a 2 inch hose which is ideal for transmitters etc. They sent one down to me recently and it's a neat bit of kit.

Sorry for the over excitement about a hose¬

Dan

I'm a Scubapro dealer so I'll give them a call today and get some in.

To be honest I'm not sure whether the one they sent me was one knocking about in their service dept or if they actually supply these generally.

Will check today and let you know.

Hey Dan

Just spoke to Scubapro and ordered a batch of the 75mm hoses.

They go for £16.98.

Let me know if you want one,

Steve

Six inch vs 2inch

Dear all,

It says something about the diving community when we get more excited the shorter it gets....

Nice one about the 2" hose: will investigate that one with my LDS plus still need shorter swivels.

Thanks all,

Pies
