im using standard oceanic size at the moment and its akward as its on a angle in my cake hole and fategues my jaw..

i was thinking about from my left side "side mount" up over around back of neck primary style?

40" or 1m if you are a European for a hose routed behind the neck.

The "sit" in the mouth is slightly dependent on your first stage.....I recently change from a fixed SPIRO Arctic 1st stage to a Scubapro MK20 which has a swivel at the end and find the swivel justs gives a fraction more hose and sits a little bit more comfortably .... but the difference is negligable in the overall scheme of things I think.

HTH
Mal

EDIT I forgot the stupid comment at the end.....erm...... always good to have the correct length if you are going spend a lot of time with it in your mouth?

You have to make your own arrangements! I have 2m on my regulator at this moment.

As Mal has already said, go for a 40" hose if you're using a standard first stage that lacks a swivel (ie. you're not using an Apeks DST or a Scubapro Mk20/Mk25). For first stages with a swivel, however, a standard 36" hose will do just fine...
