| Twinset Course To answer a question from above then the course does have a cert at the end. I would also add that I recognise that the PADI course doesn't develop the skills that more advanced courses do, hence the reason that I am doing fundies in Sept with Clare to develop my skills further. Agree that trying to flog such a course on ebay is showing the instructor in a very poor light and to some extent undermining what PADI where trying to do in sanctioning this course for the rest of us. |

| lok - no spamming intended....just wanted to make sure that everyone got the oportunity to see this offer. NOT everyone reads "Technical" "Equipment" or other forums as there is usual a load of drivel posted in them. Now, if you dont like the look of the course, the look of PADI or even the lok of yourself then dont look....but why post useless replys? |

| If it is a distinctive specialty, with PADI approved outline etc then the person teaching it would have to be an in status instructor, just like any other specialty. Buying the outline doesn't give the instructor the approval to teach it... they would need to apply to PADI for the instructor rating for that specialty, so they would have to meet the prerequisites. The scary thing is that PADI would probably approve me to teach it. Unless there is a different specification for this one, instructors can teach a specialty if they have done a certain number of dives in that discipline. It would be interesting to see the outline, in terms of what the prerequisites are, what depths the OW training is done at etc. I know plenty of divers who want to dive with a 12 (or 10) litre cylinder with a 12 (or 10) litre pony. Surely it is better that they have some training to use this scary eice of kit than just buy & jump in, or even worse... learn all they need to know off the internet ![]() (Hmmm,,,,, 631689....Not authorised to teach in 2007)

Most people use the 'New Posts' tool to find out what has been posted recently rather than trawl through all the boards. Can you answer the questions posed above?

You can't do both. The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits. |

| Don't think they were 'useless' replies, more along the lines of opinions. Now they may be useless opinions, but opinions none the less. I chose a TDI twinset familiarisation, because as has been said on here previously, I want to increase my bottom time, and Padi don't teach deco procedures, I wanted to have an instructor that could see me through all the courses.
