DSAT Tec Trimix gives you access to the best mix for your dive and the best mixes for your deco. Recommended depth post course is to the maximum depth of your course dives as are all agencies but with build up dives there is no maximum depth imposed after the course. As long as you can carry enough gas and are prepared to hang for the time ( and able without getting hypothermia ). The recommendation is on team diving and carrying the same gas across the team but that should be common sense.

Can you point me at some clarification to the no depth limit (subject to preperation and avaliable gas) as if this is the case there will be a lot of people rushing out to get a DSAT cert for life insurance! I was sure the DSAT ticjket was limited to 75m?

Don't worry about the agency just pick a good instructor. Mark Powell is an exceptional instructor and there are some other good ones about if you really take the time to look for them. If you find a good one stick with them as there are a bucket load of turkeys out there (boy have seen some utterly pants instructors fumbling their way through so called tech courses - dangerous ).

If the DSAT policy on air is anything to go by I reckon 10/90 should be good to at least a kilometer

First find yourself a good instructor and then worry about the agency. I know I'm not alone in recommending Mark Powell of these ere parts. He's an active deep Trimix diver so he practices what he preaches.

DSAT's equivelent of extended range is limited to 45m which is less than BSAC,TDI, IANTD etc air policy the only agency I can think of that don't let you go to 45 on air is GUE although as they concider it to be tyre gas how deep will your car go? Mine I suspect would go all the way to the bottom, but I have enough gas&kit in there to stay a while and get back up!

DSAT is the only agency AFAIK that insists on it as a pre-requisite of doing other 'Tec' courses. PSAI, TDI, IANTD etc all seem to have realised what a shit idea it is and have either withdrawn or quietly stopped promoting their deep air courses - I am pretty sure no one else (except maybe BSAC?) still have deep air as a requirement before you can progress with Tec.

I am currently going through the InDepth Tec Manuals and they certainly don't support it, so GUE and NAUI are not alone in formally distancing themselves from deep air.

BTW it's 50m...

As others have said, personally I'd select the course I want to do by picking the instructor first. Mark Powell is an excellent choice if you want to go down the TDI route. Personally, though, I always recommend Phil Short who is probably one of the most able and highly qualified tech instructors here in the UK. His website is Phil Short Technical Diving

Phil offers the full range of IANTD mix courses from Recreational and Advanced Recreational Trimix (30m or deeper depending upon students' other qualifications or 45m for Adv Rec), Normoxic (60m) to Expedition-level Trimix (sky's the limit!). Hell, he'll even train you to dive caves on a CCR with mix!
