Using a travel gas from the surface (for example using a hypoxic mix) where would be a good place to store your main regulator? - another bungee necklace maybe, or one with two loops?

Robert

<font color='#0000FF'>Clipped off to a harness D ring usind a snoopy loop doubled around the hose onto a double ended bolt snap.

The advantages of the snoopy loop:

The loop will snap if pulled hard in a donation event.

The hose will run thru the loop when pulled normally in a donation event.

The rubber to rubber contact will stop the hose moving when you dont want it to.

Hmmm, I always thought a snoopy loop was a loop cut from a car inner tire - used to hold regulator hose onto stage cylinder or for securing line when cave-diving (or am I just being pedantic?!)
I already secure my main regulator using bolt snap and cylinder o-ring like this when on deco-stops, it just seems too 'secure' to me if you're descending reasonably quickly - I'll have to try it out.
Thanks

Robert

<font color='#0000FF'>Yep, you're right.

However these snoopy loops are cut from mountain bike innertubes, much smaller diameter.

&nbsp;@ thinking about a giant innertube wrapped around me hose - sorry, should have been more specific.

Same as when breathing a stage, or deco bottle. &nbsp;Clip the primary reg. off to right chest d-ring. &nbsp; If you get hit for gas, donate the reg in your mouth, you know that it is a safe gas for the depth you are at (because you are breathing it!)

Is this the DIR forum??

<font color='#000080'>Ahh, so it's called a snoopy loop is it, I already do this to secure my spg and primary (long hose)

Thanks for clearing that up

Recently someone was asking about which size of inner tube was best etc.
Sorry if sems like stating the obvious but....if you cut an innertube at a diagonal rather than 90 degrees you can get a variety of sizes from the same innertube diameter
