I think that the HM bands are at least as good (if not slightly better than) the Agir ones, but as you can't buy HM anymore Agir are the best you can buy IMHO...

I know that plenty of people swear by their MK25's (and I do own some) but I don't like having that those turret o-rings on my backgas - an unnecessary failure point (and yes I have has issues in the past).

The DS4 has fewer failure points and very nice hose routing.

Each to their own....

News to me if they have.... I always preferred the look and feel of Agir anyway so not that bothered.

what is the real world difference between the agir bands and the hs ones then? Apart from one looking better?

I think AGIR are 1/2" wider and the HM shinier....other than that....it seems HM are no longer available

The HM ones are touch wider IIRC. The actual difference.... Other than HM being more expensive not much. The Agir ones securely hold the cylinders together and prevent stressing the manifold which is what you want bands to do. HM ones don't do that any better from what I can see.
