They do?! Sh*t - better change all my Halcyon hoses! If they 'bubble after a couple of months' then I'm seriously on borrowed time - mine have been going strong with no sign of failure for three years now!!!!

I've found this is a problem only when the connector has been crimped too tightly. I had the problem on one of my hoses. On close inspection I found that the crimp was a lot "tighter" on the 'kinked' hose than on the others. I've since seen similar issues with other users of the DS4 first stage and halcyon hoses.

Not at all - they just haven't managed to convince the manufacturer that there's a demand for them yet. They're well aware that people want HP hoses and I'm sure that point was reinforced over and over again at the show so I'm sure it's only a matter of time. I too had a chat with them at the dive show and the quality of manufacture looked good. They did tell me that they plan to release the hoses in other colours soon - shocking pink (!) and either red or green seem to be the current favourites. I told them green would be a good idea for oxygen deco bottles...

Why? Because it aint DIR? Anything that aids indentification is a good thing, in my opinion - I even have a green mouthpeice on my oxygen regulator!
