Does V Planner Blender include a fudge factor?

I've just noticed that I had it set to use PSI rather than Bar, but it still has problems, check for yourself.

Sad that. I have V-Planner on my phone, and use that when I go over to the place where all the blending equipment is. I get my initial pressure of the gauge there, so that I am getting a stable base reading, and feed the details into my phone's V Planner.

Hmm, I wonder if Nigel's works on Mobile PC

I have e-mailed V-Planner. so hopefully they can shed some light on the subject.

Yeah, looks like V-Planners fcuked-up, its 21 bar will give you 33.9%

The most easiest and most accurate nitrox blending tool out there is the Linear Nitrox Table; as shown in the other thread.

Nigel does have a Pocket PC version, check his website.

Check the 'About' tab in the blender program. It looks like yours is set to PSI too. It doesn't pick up the default units from the Config details.

Image scrambled to protect coyright... it gives 16 bar as your answer too, though if you wanted more than your 210 bar, say 8,000 bar it tells you to add 609.6 bar O2!

I have a table at the blending shed, but, I like the programmes that do all the counting for you. It's pretty simple when you start with an empty tank, but I normally start with a gas reserve. So then I need to add reserve pressure to required pressure as well as work out the differences in existing gas O2& and required gas %. As soon as I start working with numbers like that, I can mess up as I have dyslexia.

I will use a table as a verification, that the figures are correct, but for me it is not so cleaver to use it as the primary method.

The beauty of the LNT is that it is 'linear' so there is no venting-off to a round number to start, if you have 87.6 bar in your cylinder you start from there and there is no limit on what final pressure you could make - that is infinite.
