Saw a cheap LP compressor - any use to you?
Hi

I saw a cheap LP compressor in B&Q last night and wondered if it would be any use to anyone running a booster pump.

It was an oil free, 6L compressor, up to 10bar - £39.99

Is that enough to run a booster pump?

Considering the price of fill whips and booster pumps, that LP compressor has to be the the cheapest bit of the set up.

No. Boosters take huge amounts of drive gas to run at a sensible speed and running a cheap compressor flat out for 20 minutes on end causes it to send smoke signals.

I upgraded twice before I got something that could keep up.
