We went for 7l cylinders as the standard ones we suspect are too small for 2 potential divers and a fair RIB journey as is typical with some of our sites. So we have standard steel 7l tanks (DIN) and the kit comes with a DIN > pin adaptor for the O2 kit. The advantage of this system is if for some reason we do run out of O2 we could use someones deco gas or nitrox tank as well (which admittedly in my club means my tank as everyone else is 100% air!). Also have 1 x demand mask and 1 x constant flow, both can be used at once off the same first stage. As for cost, not cheap unfortunately, looking at £600+ all in We have: Marinox Therepy Unit but without the case and with 7l tanks instead.

| Just some thing to note. I used to deal with delivering O2 in hospitals and just remember that if giving O2 via continuose flow you are unlikley to give 100% as the patients inspiratory flow rate is likeley to be well in excess of the flow rate of O2. Also if using reg remember to block off nose so you dont dilute if they nose brath to some extent. Rustferret |
