I do hope the course will be a whol elot more than the comedy weekend we had with people learning how to use an SMB and reel That said, BSAC seem to have turned a corner with a lot of their tech type courses so maybe this will be a longer or more in depth course which will change the way the combined or advanced nitrox is done. I suppose with basic nitrox now in OD/SD courses people's understanding of it should be greater already.

Digs.

I am not saying your wrong but it seems a daft qualification if you cant use it for deco. I was taught SMB deployment deco gas planning and holding deco stops as part of my Advanced Nitrox training course.

Maybe they have changed what is on the card, because mine say:
Decompression Procedures:
Qualified to conduct dives for planned staged decompression to 150 fsw/45msw

Advanced Nitrox
Qualified in the use of 22% to 100% nitrox to a maximum depth of 130 fsw/ 40msw

I always understood the combination of the two to qualify me for accelerated deco, otherwise what's the point?

Oops, I meant 50m
I already have a BSAC Adv. Nitrox ticket, do you know if they are planning on letting you "upgrade" to the new cert or would you need to do the course again?
