232bar cylinders have 350bar test pressure (1.5x working presure), so they're good for it, although I wouldn't want to do it too often. presumably 300bar cylinders have a 450 bar test pressure?

I was talking to someone the other day who'd had their 232bar cylinders (with 232bar manifold) filled to the 350bar test pressure, which must have taken some ingenuity from the fill-monkey

I like most peaple say 12s. the Halcyon may not be best, I used to use twin Fabor 12s In a neoprene suit and Weezel compact I did not need any weight, cylinders that were heavier than those would not been benifical. I sugest you borrow different makes/ sizes and the decide.

Graham.

My advice would be to go for a set of twin 12 Euro cylinders with a decent manifold and a set of chunky cylinder bands.

The absolute best twinsets you can buy at the moment are these... Halcyon UK

They are quite pricey - £420 - but are the absolute dog's nads, as far as I'm concerned

im totaly with bardo on this, all the above and more..

Single12 232bar weighs 13.4 kg single 12 300bar weighs16.7 kgs , the 232 is a Fabor the 300 is a Aqualung cylinder.

Double the difference will be the difference between singles and a twin set.

Graham

thanks

12s

Dont even hesitate for a second on this. It has to be the 12s just from a gas fill and comfort whilst kitting up perspective.

Mine came in at 14.2 kg..... I actually put both my Faber twinset and Halcyon twinset on some bathroom scales. The Fabers were 2 kilos lighter which really is nothing to me...

As luck would have it.

I just picked up my new shiny Euro Spec twin twelve's this morning.

They are standing beside my Faber twin 12's (no boots) and you can easily see the difference in length.

I bought these from Phil and had them shipped to my LDS for assembly as the local dive centre will not put Nitrox in anything they havent cleaned themsleves.

Now I just need to move the bottom band to the standard 11" space (no idea why LDS didnt do this) and bolt them in place!

Woot!

Davie.

P.S These are nice twins too.....MK&A
P.P.S the Fabers are 13.2KG each the New Euros are 13.9Kg each.
