Attaching a strobe to the shot line

put a good old elastic band on the strobes string when you get back to collect it just snap the band!
if you cant get back you will just have to bag off like you are used to
the should be a tag system and if your not back at a set time the line is cut and you are on your own {or with a buddy if you have one}

Agreed you MUST (in my opinion) use a tag system if you are using a lazy shot/deco bar.

and have it set in stone if you cant see the divers and there tags are still on the line and the time {depending on tide}has come to cut the line the last person MUST cut the line!

some times {well most with the lot i dive with} im last man left down on the wreck and its a pain being last man back as all the others have taken there strobes and the is just my lonely strobe left
so now most of us leave the strobes on the shot and dont retrieve them until
the shot comes up then we all have the shot lit up

also dont put the strobes just at the bottom of the shot sometimes 10m from the wreck is good

As John says ..... i use one of his S/S snap clips but also on of his D rings and use it in the same way as a puss knot ,,,,

Any rock climbers here ( same way for a descender )

Hope some of this is helpful. It would be interesting to know what your plans are and in what way you may be moderating you dive plan. As I am assuming from the previous post that you have no experience of using deco stations.

(Please, this is not meant to be a dig, but simply to see if you have modified your plans)

It is a fair question Steve & TBH I am on the dive with John & am similar position as John ,have dived these depths before, have reeled off from the shot but have no idea of using a deco station
So any tips ?
