Cost of Nitrox

I have just been ringing around various places to price up EAN32 fills for my 12l twinset.

The range of prices that I was given are £15, £14, £9 and £8.

The £8 price was also a pleasent supprise given the fact I thought they would be expensive.

So I was curious as to what other people pay for a similar Nitrox fill.

Thanks in advance

Jonsey

It's been a while but I think I pay more than that for a fill from the club compressor and O2 J?

Colinicky, have you been overcharging me?

£6.60 Aquatron Glasgow for 24 litres / 232 bar EAN32, prices vary on mix, volume and pressure.

Its partial pressure blended and you have to wait at least 30 minutes but its cheap enough*.

Davie.

*although they will not fill any set they have not cleaned. (well they will fill it but only with hydrocarbon free air no O2)

95% of fills done at Wraysbury are air.

The is very little demand for nitrox or trimix. We do not have the high demand some places do.

To do a mix involves having J's of Oxygen and Helium, a separate panel for blending, as well as using compressor and a haskel.

None of this is cheap. We only do a handful of mixes each week and have to try and make this service which is only supplied to meet demand go some way towards funding itself.
