Brian

With regarding the carriage other than parcell force & post office they DO NOT cover the full cost of the goods so we have had to take out a special insurance so if the goods go missing we the supplier will get the FULL compensation back. Some time ago our ex carrier lost a large shipment of goods it had the extra insurance ticked on the form and ALL we got back was around £70.00 so we lost out and the customer still got a replacement order of his goods, When ever i can i always send out by the post office by special delivery it covers the goods up to £500.00 or i can pay extra insurance to cover the goods, it can also be tracked by us or in the overseas situation the customer can look where his goods are.

I know that some of our customer question about the carriage overseas but we can not do anything about this as if it gets LOST who is going to reimberse us for the goods and time it takes to build them up.

Brian if you require any more info give me a call

John

Cool, I only just noticed that Thanks kirst.

KT John... good point about the insurance, i hadn't considered that, current courier covers us for that, and royal mail express is good for things under 2kg, after that they're pricey.

I could be upfront with courier costs and offer to split them equally with the customer... that would be fair wouldn't it?

in the past I've used senditnow.com for heavy items. They do 48 hour delivery up to 30 kg for £10.99 and it's insured up to £150. It's another that's actually parcelforce's extra capacity. Your invoice, pickup and delivery are all parcelforce. The only downside is they have dimension limits on the parcels you send

Nice looking site Brian, as everyone else has said, reasonable P&P charges up front are always going to be a winner in my book.

what about a YD member discount ?
