Brian, to my mind fair is the key word here, out of principle I won't deal with people who hide their charges or sell at very low markup and look to make up the margins with high postal charges. One of the things that frequently annoys me with internet shopping is that in many cases you don't know the cost of shipping until the last page of the checkout, always feels like I'm being conned when that happens.

I'd echo that comment.

The page itself is nicely laid out apart from the knob on the front forming a loveheart with his hands - coat on

Hi Brian,
Nice work, looks really “clean”.
With regards to postage for online ordering I again echo the above. Many people also hunt the net for bargains that then turn out to be more expensive once postage is added and still take a week to arrive mitigating any benefit of shopping online at all. Have a look at the following –
www.parcel2go.com
www.eparcelz.com
Both buy surplus capacity from the likes of DHL and Parcelforce and sell on at a discount. £6.99 for a 48hour service up to 30kgs will get a twinset delivered to most parts of the country in good time and you could almost offer a flat rate for everything that would still be considered “reasonable” when compared to other outfits. Oh, and they collect from your door as well!
If the actual postage for smaller items works out cheaper than the flat rate this could offset your packaging costs.
Now, about that torch……

£6.99 for 30kg! damn that's about half the rate i currently pay, and 48 hours isn't too bad either for something that weight.

To be honest I expect to pay a delivery charge and as long as it's reasonable that's fine. Some places offer free postage if your order is worth more than a particular amount and that has occasionally nudged me into buying a bit more just to take advantage of free postage

Nice site, Bri.

I particularly like the way you're top of the Popular Items list on the right hand side.

Really nice site, but just the one comment.

I know why you've used such a small point size, but it gets a bit busy on
pages like FAQ. A lot of info and IMO on the edge of legible for some.

How about a text only, page repeat with a larger point size, linked from
the page it duplicates?
