The Omni Booster is a few cheap pipoe fittings and an old regulator that make it possible to run helium through your compressor (which is TOTALLY safe and wastes nothing). This way, you can use your helium down to the last drop without the need for cascading. Also, you can harvest gas from tanks. So say you are 4 divers and each have 100 bars of the good stuff left over and want to use you doubles for some nitrox diving the next day. You can use the Omni Booster to harvest the gas into a bank OR some other doubles if you fancy. I found that it is best to have a 300bar J to be used as what I fondly came to call the "bastard mix" which is basically any old crap left over in doubles or mixes thast have gone wrong. Basically the bastard mix always has a usable helium content which you can use somehow in the future. Good for lousy cheapskates (such as myself)

| Mal, are you running your own compressor with your setup? Only reason i ask (from a cost point of view, rather than conveniance point), is that you'll end up with a lot of waste and not many fills, assuming you are going for standard gases? unless of course you only pay for what you use out of the J? I've been running the last dregs of my helium J direct through the compressor, and scavenge the remains of mix from my tins using an old lift bag....
