how big is the bubble, what type of tissue is it in, how supersaturated is the tissue, how aggressive is the gradient, how well hydrated is the diver, what colour suit is he wearing, did a black cat cross his path in the morning, is it the third tuesday of the month, etc, etc, etc.


Dropping to pressure will certainly shrink the bubble, "hopefully" then limiting the damage and hopefully alllowing the bubble to go back into solution and come out "proper like". As to "will it sort it", no-one has the answer to that until it's done, and even then you're going to end up in a chamber being examined by an expert sooner or later.

how would you know? You wouldn't. So you'd try the in water recompression - ie. finish off your deco (plus half again) - first..

Careful of the terminology here. Missed deco proceedures are not in water recompression which, if attempted is to treat symptoms rather than avoid symptoms developing. I see no need for in water recompression which requires special equipment and brings elevated risk in UK waters or anywhere else where chambers are accessible.
