    TDI Manuals

    I'm off to Egypt in September and will completed my TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco procedures while I am out there.

    Does anyone know where I could purchase the manuals prior to arriving in Egypt? Would be useful to have something to read while I am enduring 5 hours on Easyjet.

    Both the Advanced Nitrox & Deco Procedures texts were appallingly badly written. TDI have been rewriting their manuals starting with Advanced Trimix but I don't know how far they've got with the 'project'. Beware if you're offered copies of these that you're getting the latest stuff.

    If you'll be picking up the new stuff out there and just want something to peruse in the meantime, I could send you mine for a donation into the RNLI coffers.

    I did my Adv Nitrox and Deco procedures last Oct and was told that I had the latest manuals TBH I wouldn't waste your money you will get them with your course anyway they really are crap manuals they dont teach you anything.

    If you are really desperate then you can borrow mine to see how bad they really are and return them after you course.

    Agree with all of the above. The depth and detail that the manuals go into is so light that you can work through them in the evenings during the course. There is an awful lot of repitition between the two and TBH at this level even the physics principles will come easy to you.

    When I did AN&DP with Mark he sent a load of pre course reading material that is more relevant. I would try to establish whether your instructor is doing something similar and take that along to read if poss.
