How to make stage rubbers out of tyres?

Is there any tutorials out there that show you how to make stage bands with an inner tube?

I think you mean 'snoopy loops' -

its easy - pair of scissors - cut across car inner tubes (getting harder to get as not many vehicles have inner tubes)

articles here and here and here P43

Alternatively you can make a cylinder diameter loop of elastic bungie and use that..........

    Here's one:

    1) Find suitable inner tube.

    2) Cut it accross the tube to make a 25-ish mm strip.

    3) If the resulting loop is the right length, cut more.

    4) If it's too short, cut on the diagonal to make it longer.

    5) If this results in the right length loop cut more.

    6) If it's still too short change the angle of cut.

    7) When you find the right angle cut away untilll your boots are filled.

    Job done.

I find it easier to use a sharp stanley knife on a chopping board as using scissors leaves uneven edges.

Not if you tie it together in a knot, this stops it rolling and makes it easier than inner tube to grip to restow the hose.
