| I have the Commander Nitrox. Mine does not allocate deep stops. On deco dives I do the "deep" stops based on my manually cut backup tables and then finish off the shallow stops as per my computer. I don't know if the newer Cochrans do this. The people at Cochran are very helpful and I would suggest you email them direct with any queries - you will receive an answer within 2 days. Their web site is http://www.divecochran.com/main.html and they have a "contact us" section for emails. I REALLY like my computer. There are e few thing I would like to change but all in all it is an excellent bit of kit and was at an excellent price for a "two mix computer" (don't know how prices compare these days).

It's fiddly to set up between dives, if you're switching gases etc, but I do like it, and have never had any problems with it. Would I buy another, probably not as the algorithm (unless changed on more recent models) is dated with regard to current thinking, RGBM, GF's, Pyle, WKPP etc. But then again I'd like a VR3 integrated to the KISS unit I haven't got (yet).
