New DSAT courses
Does anyone know what has happened to the DSAT tec course?
It seems to have changed into several smaller ones, we now seem to have tec40, tec45 & tec 50.
have they just been broken up for convinience?

Yes broken up so thay can be delived in more manageable time slots.
Tec 40 - 40m with max 10 mins of deco can be done in a single or twin config.
Tec 45 - 45m with single stage up to 100% for deco.
Tec 50 - as it is now 50m 2 stages etc.
I think on the whole they are good changes and I look forward to teaching the new structure.
Hope that helps.

Yes they are more manageable now. Levels have progressive prerequisites which I believe it is designed to create a bridge between Recreational & Technical diving. Nice new instructor materials.
The instructor level can be now: Tec Instructor (qualified to teach Tec 40 only) & then Tec Deep Instructor ( can teach all three of them). This can give the instructors a chance to build experience while working on requirements to becoming a full Tec Deep Instructor.
Tec Trimix is now Tec Trimix 65 & Full Tec Trimix .
Those changes came after multiple technical diving forums which took place in US, UK, Asia Pacific. Non DSAT technical industry professionals were invited too. And all contributed to the changes.
