Lita saw the sea in a book once
Hi There

I know some of the UK torches are able to use both the rechargeable battery pack and normal batteries check out with UK. I know the light canon is one such torch.
I also have the UKD4 non rechargable and has worked fine I only use Duracell Ultra Batteries and they have lasted well.

Regards
Lita

Post Rechargeable batteries

Hi Shane,
I am quite happy to be corrected here but from my (not extensive it must be admitted) reading on the matter you could just replace the alkaline batteries with NiCad's as long as you wern't leaving them for months without use.

I'd be interested to hear of any reason not to use NiCad's
Cheers

Slightly dimmer yellower light as Ni-Cads are 1.2V each. But way cheaper in the long run.
