| Imported post You are joking? Of course you can pick up some great bits of kit for 150 notes...but then in 4-5 dives time you'll be kicking yourself. If you're not kicking yourself you need to realise that your diving is really nice for that torch. Hartenberger MC, GF50,UK 4 x 2, strobe x2 with switch....excessive...i dive with a max of 5 light sources... Graham.

| Imported post <font color='#000080'>Nope- its a rather nicely made chunk of laser cut 1/4 thick steel, bent at the corners into an exciting shape, complete with stainless steel grille, steel ash pan with stainless handles and an 8" square window set into the door. It also has internal baffles to project the heat forwards into the room. And it gets bloody hot, too.

| What torch I have about £250 to spend.. I'm after one where the battery pack will fit on the right side of my belt DIR style. I dive twin 12's (or try to) I have seen a few but they cost big bucks.. so I'm looking for lots of advice Sean

| If you can stretch to £300 you can get yourself a Halcyon Proteus 3 HID, which is a lovely bit of kit, and the canister is designe dto be waist mounted |
| ||||
| Pro 3 is the only and best option if you ask me. It took some fighting to get them down to £300 but they can discount. Get an instructor to buy one and you'll get 5% I think, maybe 10. Talk to UE and others for the option. You won't get one for £250. I haggled for 10 minutes to get one at £299 after we'd got down to £300 just so I could get one cheaper than most everyone else, but they wouldn't do it. Failing that 2nd hand is probably a good option, there are halognes etc at that price but you might as well spend the extra, they're very nice torches. Digs. |

| I got the Halcyon for £300 as well and its very very good. I am a bit disapointed by the rust on the screws holding the lid clips in place but apart from that.... ATB Mark Chase
