NiMH Battery Charger

Hi All,

Does anyone have a source for battery Chargers? I'm looking to charge a homebuild 12V 3Ah NiMH pack that goes in my video housing.

Thanks
John

Try the Pro-Peak Prodigy at around £35. Works with Delta technology, no need for a thermistor etc. If you need 5A, then go for the Mercury. Try googling for Als hobbies or als hobby shop

Gimme a shout on my email if you like and i'll give you the details

Spot on, exactly the kind of thing I was looking for :-)

Hmm, maybe it's time for me to build a battery pack to go in my Pro 14 canister too. 9000mAh D-cells, I reckon I can get about 30 into the box :-)

Thanks
John

Have a look at www.budgetbatteries.co.uk
You'll need industrial/tagged ones at about £9 each

Mmmmh, that one big mother of a cannister you'll need and a spare £270

The prodigy can only handle 10 cells in series (giving you 12v from 1.2v cells), which shouldn't present any problems as you should in theory have 3 packs in series and those 3 packs paralelled to give you a whopping 27AH pack...You could run a Gavin on that ffs LOL

Hmmm, Then get one of those nifty looking Salvo Lampheads, and I'll have a burn time measured in weeks :-)

For a superb battery charger you can't go far wrong with these.

I've only ever heard good things about them and they will charge just about anything.

They are good and recommended by Airspeed press and Dan at Stealthdive, but only available in the US, when you add on shipping, your better going with a true smart charger...or make your own from a project kit.

Got a link anywhere Daz?

I've been on the hunt for a charger that will do 10 x 9aH D cells for a while - no joy. Are you sure these chargers will handle it?
